Happy Monday! I’m back with the full blog post from Megan and Ben’s wedding in Salida; and what a blog post it is!
Vintage couch + great natural light + stunning bride = one classically beautiful bridal portrait!
The couple opted to see each other for the first time by doing a First Look before the ceremony. It was a truly sweet moment that brought a tear to my eye. True story.
Back on the roof, you can see the sign from the old photography studio that used to reside in the building.
After some shots at the house, we set out on a walk over to the Salida Steamplant where the ceremony and reception were to be held. There were so many great locations in town; I think I could have shot there all day!
We were blessed with a picture perfect day for a ceremony in the Colorado Mountains.
With the Ketubah signed, the rings exchanges, the kiss smooched, and the glasses crushed, it was time to get our groove on. Megan and Ben arranged for a great night of music, with two full bands to play throughout the night. Things started off with the Latin sounds of Manuel Molina and band.
As the evening progressed, I noticed some perfect evening light on the rocky banks of the Arkansas River. Maybe one more scenic shot!
As the evening progressed even further, I noticed myself wanting to take some quirky Steve Z shots!
As the evening progressed even further, we were jamming to the reggae sounds of Lion SoulJahs. I was spending the night in town so I hung around after I was off the clock to enjoy the music. Everyone was feeling really irie, and we had some fun making totally bizarre images. This shot was one exposure in the camera. Mmmmm, eyeballs.
Thanks for stopping by, check back soon as I have tons of images to blog this week!
